The weather has turned cold here in New York, and I'm not in the mood to go outside with the camera hunting for shots while my hands slowly freeze. So I've decided to take my art indoors- first with the shower spirograph, and now with this, the bathtub-food-coloring-painting experiment. Perhaps one day soon I will have completely combined my two obsessions- art, and spending time in the bathroom.

They look like dragons... esp that red on green/blue one [4th from top] - it looks extra menacing.

These remind me of a type of imaging called "Schlieren Photography" that is used to reveal slight gradations in the density of a liquid or gas.

Have you thought about trying highlighter ink plus blacklight?
