About a year ago, my friend Jon asked me to shoot a week of pictures for his website. The project became "A Night in the Life"- seven nights of nocturnal wanderings that took me to Central Park, Red Hook, Williamsburg, Chinatown, the West Village, and Gowanus. My process was very different back then- I would only shoot after 10pm, with a point-and-shoot camera (the Canon G2), and I wouldn't do any color correction in Photoshop (only brightness and contrast). I also didn't save any of the original images (I do now), so even if I wanted to, I couldn't go back and correct them, which is probably just as well. [Unrelated: I hope you don't mind if, from time to time, I revisit some stuff from my archives. Looking at older shots helps me figure out what I've learned.]
i'm more impressed with the fact that you wandered through central park after 10 pm.
