Karen and I were meeting a friend for lunch at MoCA, which is just down the block from the Disney Concert Hall. On the way back, I made Karen wait like 10 minutes while I snapped abstract shots- I like these a lot better than my set from last April. [Editor's note: the vertical abstractions are still going to be 1125px high.]
I agree with you - I like these better than the other set (although they are very nice). I think its the combination of the way the light plays on different sections of these pictures and the close up nature.

i believe the key to photographing gehry's buildings is editing out all the extraneous detail- the doors, the signage, the parked cars in front- and just letting the forms speak for themselves.

I think that this particular vertical abstraction works well on the screen. Usually, I don't like my images chopped by the browser window, but I like having to scroll down to see this entire image.

I think both April and now work well!

I particularly like the different color tones. they really add depth to the shots.
