I was taking a film crew from Australia around Bushwick this afternoon. They were doing a segment on street art. I think it was Borges who said that "videotape and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of man"- I often think about that when I listen to myself speaking on camera. Anyway, afterwards I was walking back to Grand Street and the light over the schoolyard behind Boys and Girls High had a peculiar opalescent quality. After I looked at the sky for a few minutes I turned to leave and this girl was passing by.
This building is like a prison ..
