Yesterday after work I went up to The Getty for a couple of hours, and then drove West on Mulholland to that abandoned Nike radar station above Mandeville Canyon. I got there late and it started to get dark as I walked back down the road to my car. By the time I was driving back East on Mulholland towards Coldwater it was dark, and all the lights were coming on in the valley.
Those trees look really cool from the angle presented especially with the shadows.

I didn't realize that there were three photos on this page until I decided to make a comment. I liked the top photo in a sort of "Monster House" way. But the second photo with the shadows was even better.
Most of my visits to California have been to Northern Cali. I've only spent a week or so in L.A. and that was several years ago. Everything always looks so brown and parched out there - I miss the vibrant colors of the East Coast. Looking forward to seeing more from your trip to L.A., tho.
