Ground Zero

Ground Zero

I was down at the World Trade Center shooting a progress report for Gothamist on Friday. We covered a lot of ground- all the way from the top of 1WTC to the very bottom of the pit under the memorial plaza. I was surprised by how moved I felt walking down the ramp inside the museum— it's an enormous space, and you have this sense of being very far underground, under the pools, under the towers, down, down, down.

What a great scoop for Gothamist. And unforgettable for you personally, I'm sure. These are great, thanks for posting.

Great photos.

Those photos are very haunting. I haven't been to Ground Zero since the bombing. I think I'd be overwhelmed with emotion. Thanks for sharing those photos.

Jerry, bombing? Really? I'm a conspiracy theorist as well but I would not say it.

So very sad that a bunch of lunatics were succesful in harming so many innocent people. I'm afraid that this is a wound to society that will never heal.

those little trees say it all.

Mark, I'm sure Jerry is talking about the WTC bombing in '93 and NOT saying the attacks in 2001 were caused by bombs.
