June 19, 2002: Day 19 / London

8:30am Woke up with strong stomachache. Karen went for a walk.
10:30am Walked to the still excellent Transit Museum on Covent Gardens. Especially good exhibit on London Tube Map. I still love all the well maintained buses and trains. Definitely a favorite.
12pm Tube to Tate Britain at Pimlico. Stomach hurting quite badly from Indian food. A sort of annoying visit to the museum, given the stomachache. Still, good Hockney and old British paintings. We have to go back tomorrow for the Lucien Freud opening- I got the day wrong.
2:30pm Taxi back to Marlborough. Stomach feeling better.
3pm Internet. Deborah can't come into the city tonight so we're thinking of doing the Jack the Ripper tour in Tower Hill. A little tired of traveling at this point- eager to see Freud show tomorrow- but also looking forward to getting home.
6pm Walked to Russell Gardens in Blooms, the biggest square in the neighborhood. Very tranquil and romantic. Very pretty.
7pm Walked back and stopped for dinner at Wagamama, the great London quick Asian fare place. Bought Molly a Wagamama t-shirt and ate Ramen and salad and drank fruit juice.
9pm Back at hotel- stomach still feeling much better.
