June 24, 2002: Travel photos
I've posted the six photo galleries from our European trip: London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, The Hague, Berlin and Prague. Our vacation was great- very interesting and action packed. The highlight of the trip was the wedding of our friends Sven and Madelon in the Hague, but I'll also never forget my first visit to Berlin. For those of you who are more curious, I'm going to publish a link to the private European blog I kept for my friends in a couple of days. If you are going to visit one of these cities, it might be interesting for you...
This week: sites, schools, and big questions about the future.

Tania and I have been running Google searches and oddly have been getting some conflicting returns for the top matches.
Anyway, back to the semantics of slang, I first thought that Freak Factor Five might be associated with the film, Pulp Fiction. But then I remembered that Uma Thurman's character, Mia Wallace, is nattering on about her failed pilot Fox FORCE Five, not Factor. Freak Factor doesn't seem that unusual, factor being a happy joiner to any noun phrase (note the Belle & Sebastian song, "Chick Factor," or the show, "Fear Factor"). Might just be a happy confluence of phrases in the subconscious.
Maybe you should write to William Safire about this. First, you need to get Ari Fleischer, Tom Daschle, and a Supreme Court Justice to use it.
Maybe our best bet is having one of our acquaintances get it slipped into a new Mamet screenplay. Ideas?
