July 27, 2002: Good Deeds 3-5
As I wrote earlier in the week, I've been trying to do more good deeds. This weekend:
1. Helped a friend move from Park Slope to Prospect Heights (4 hours)
2. Located a friend who had mysteriously disappeared (1 day)
3. Gave up my seat on the train (twice)
Another five years of this and I may actually balance out the bad karma that I earned in 1997-2000.

I'll be expecting some good deeds from you at some point in the next few years, then?
I think being polite should count as a good deed- or at least as the absence of a bad deed. I'm really making an effort these days to look people in the eyes when they talk, and to say thank you and that sort of thing.
