August 11, 2002: Stortroopers

The nice people over at Stor have developed Stortroopers, a good avatar system. You can buy their service and use it in community applications- for things like chat boards and interactive chats- but anyone can make an avatar for free. The idea is to make an avatar that looks like you. I made this self-portrait, which I think bears a striking similarity to me in photographs such as this. Try making one for yourself- I'll post them here.

Too bad the system doesn't account for body type. I'd like to do one for each stage of my body's fluctuating weight.
