September 24, 2002: Three Bridges
It's getting to be the perfect time of year for New York skating. From around the second week in September until the second or third week in November it gets cool enough to skate comfortably in the afternoon, but still light enough out to skate until seven or eight o'clock at night. Josh and I decided to enjoy the weather and get in a good tri-borough skate. I headed up to his house around 6pm, and we skated up through midtown to the Queensboro Bridge. We had to do a lot of weaving in and out of street traffic on Third Avenue, but it wasn't that much better when we switched to Second. We caught the Bridge right at sunset and took a fast skate through Astoria on the way to Brooklyn. The Pulaski was down so we got across in no time, and ended up skating through Greenpoint and Williamsburg just as it was getting dark.

I'd like to take my skate blog on the road. Top two places I'd like to skate outside of NYC:
1. Venice to Malibu on the Pacific Coast bike path
2. Along the Thames River Path in London
after you do those two, i hear they are extending the path that runs along the west side highway all the way to the moon...
