February 13, 2003: Self-portrait with mirror and television
I submitted this picture to the mirror project with the following explanation: "Circuit City called me up today while I was at work to remind me that it had been exactly one year since I bought my television, a Sony 32 inch model. I asked if they were calling to wish my t.v. a happy birthday, but they said no- they wanted to sell me an extended warranty. I said I wasn't interested, but I told them if they sent my t.v. a birthday card, I would make sure my t.v. got it. I took this picture to commemorate the birthday- I really do love my t.v."

That would have been awesome if Circuit City was calling to wish your TV a happy birthday.
I know- that would be the essence of 1-to-1 marketing.
What if your TV called you and said "Why did you forget my birthday?" Or refused to turn on?
