I was walking out to lunch when I realized the St. Patrick's Day Parade was on outside. I was actually relieved- I thought all the drums and bagpipe noises were coming from my extremely aggressive weekend hangover.
Sam said there were all these cheerleaders outside his office, waiting to march. I said, "Oh, you like looking at them." He said, very quickly, "No, they were junior high...that would be wrong."
Oh, yeah, and Sam and I had lunch across the street from a pub called "Connolly's" which claimed to be the St. Patrick's Day headquarters, but it seemed anyplace with Guiness and green balloons was St. Patrick's Day headquarters.
I saw a bunch of High Schoolers playing hooky at lunch yesterday, presumably on their way to the parade. They were smelling particularly green.
