March 29, 2003: Cool night
Last night I met Jen, Peter, Rachel, and Ez at Lincoln Center to see Infernal Affairs, this cool Hong Kong police drama. It was sort of like Hard Boiled meets L.A. Confidential, with a little bit of Heat thrown in. The cinematography felt very Michael Mann- these long, slow, very beautiful shots. Afterwards we met the guy who directed The Ninja Pays Half My Rent, the hilariously funny short film that played before Infernal Affairs.
Later on, we went down and had a drink at the Magician in LES and talked about blogging, technology and movies. When I went up to get a drink at the bar, I bumped into Toni Senecal, my favorite reporter from the Channel 11 local news. I was too intimidated to strike up a real conversation, but I told her she "was great".

Lincoln Center is one of the reasons I love living on the Upper West Side. I'm also happy that our reservoirs are full and the fountain is up and running again - it was depressing when it wasn't.
Why is it that Jake's retelling of our meeting Toni Senecal always neglects the part where she offers to do something nasty with me?
Toni, if you're out there, you can do something nasty to me anytime.
possibly b/c there is absolutely no evidence that the exchange occured. it does seem strange that i was standing not 12" away and did not hear Toni make any kind of remark like that. Perhaps someone is imagining things?
I think Toni says that to all the guys...she seems very flirty.

while most people would suppose that the last comment is not from the real toni, i will take whatever compliments i can get. toni rocks!
