July 17, 2003: Skyline Silhouettes
Back when we did the Gothamist logo, I considered using a silhouette of the skyline, but I found it was very hard to locate any good stock photography. We've since decided to go with an illustrated logo, but I hope these pix will help someone else out. They were taken from the piers at the edge of Williamsburg and Long Island City.

I think our logo works all well (easy, graphic, etc), but these photos are pretty. Maybe we should develop a photo logo treatment, just for fun.
gorgeous shots. we were there a day or two ago and my photos didn't come out nearly as well. :)
these are great Jake. I was looking for skyline silhouettes to create a logo for a magazine spread and these are really just perfect for that.

This is exactly what I was after [although the file size may be a bit small.
I hope to use the silhouette as part of my background for car portraits [I keep the background very simple to bring out the details in the car.
