July 25, 2003: NYC Road Trip, Day 3

Some advice to future NYC roadtrippers who follow in my footsteps- if you are foolhardy enough to drive into Queens, bring a map. Your "intuition" or "great sense of direction" is not going to save your ass when you're driving in circles and every block for a mile in any direction is labelled "37th" something. Day three destinations- a little short because I had to return to Gramercy for some business in the afternoon:
1. New York Science Museum
2. Unisphere
3. Flushing Meadows-Corona Park
4. Long Island City
Or, view the evolving map of my travels. (about 400k)

37th Drive? Place? Street? Avenue? Yeah Queens is like that. No rhyme or reason.
and of course, the all important terrace. i'm not sure why in the rest of the world, a terrace is a porch, but in queens its a street.
I'd like to add "Road?"
Also, I hear you saw a cracked out Jimmy Fallon near Gramercy...
Hey? I'm confuzled ;p
