I'd been hearing about the hotdogs at Pink's for a couple of years now, and with nothing much to do today, I decided to go down and try these dogs out for myself. The atmosphere in front of the hotdog stand is sort of Carnivale meets DMV. After twenty minutes of waiting, I picked up my chili-dog/hamburger combo, and found a table out side. The results? Iffy on the chili-dog: in the best chili-dogs, you can really make out the flavor of the dog, as well as the chili, but in the Pink's version, only the chili flavor really stood out. The hamburger was better- rich, juicy, well cooked- easily better than the fare at In-N-Out or Fatburger.

Hello! My name is Henry. I just want to say that you have a nice employers in the night shift. Special this person whose name is Xochilt. She has to be the number one. One of the reasons is because, I'm work with production entertainment, and I asked her to do 100 hogdogs and 50 burgers plus fries, but does not all! I ask how exactly wanted and she remembered evrything! WoW!!!
she is amazing. YOu should be proud to have an excellent worker as Xochilt.

Thank you !

Pink's has long been known to old timers in the LA area as well as to movie goers around the world. You can see it in many movies and television shows made there in the downtown area. My first trip to Pink's was with my parents in the 60's. My mother told my 4 sisters and I about how the movie stars would go there for lunch. It looked unimpressive at first but we came to know it as THE place to get chili dogs. I have tried to recreate them and I guess alot of it is the ambiance because I have never been able to get it just right. The steaming compartments which billow when opened release the wonderful aromas of a living peice of history. It has remained unchanged and in these times it is hard to find many of those memories still in existence. Thank you for carrying on!
