I went over to the Kimmel Center at NYU for lunch, and I couldn't help but notice the beautiful view from the 10th floor. There's something about the sky in October- these high clouds and the harsh light- that made the view especially memorable.
Oh the irony, then, that such a large portion of the downtown community was opposed to the building of the Kimmel Center because of the shadow it would throw on the park & the way it would wreck the southern view (which I never really understood, since the previous NYU student center was always in the way, anyway)!
