November 19, 2003: Pearl River Macro 2

Often, when I'm really hurting for new ideas, I'll walk up to Canal Street. The junk shops and plastic stores always inspire me. After a stop at Pearl Paint for new supplies, I usually end the trip at Pearl River- it's ones of those places where you can always get the visual stimuli you need. I recommend heading down to the basement- and looking around at the back of the aisles- that's where the real treasures can be found.

Reminds me of the nightmare that I had about Chinatown.
This reminds me of me running around Hong Kong trying to bring back tchotchkes for everyone, tchotchkes I could have gotten at Pearl River. Eh, whatcha gonna do?
