November 20, 2003: At 14
When I started graduate school at NYU in September, I bumped into my old friend Eugenia from Camp Sloane. She was kind enough to send along the picture of me on the left, taken when I was 14. Lest you think my outfit was part of a one-time fit of poor fashion sense, I'm posting a couple of other pictures which document exactly how I used to dress in the first years of High School. No wonder I was so popular!

of course, by 14, i could have just as easily said 16, or 23- i'm not exactly known for my clothes.
i had the same shirt as the one in the lower right picture.. in fact i think we once got into an argument over who was going to wear the shirt to school that day..... in retrospect, i should have let you win that one...
