I grew up in Park Slope back in the 1980s, when the neighborhood was all bodegas and Key Foods and pizza places with sawdust on the floors and you had to go all the way to the Heights to find a GAP. Of course, that's all changed. Now, apart from the tilt of the streets and slightly lower real estate prices, Park Slope has become the West Village. Maybe that's why I'm so comfortable walking around on Bedford and Commerce and up West 4th Street- it reminds me of home. These next four days, I'd like to show you some of my favorite spots. my old apartment! :D

jake, be sure to go visit that little crook of a street where the cherry lane theater hides. there are beautiful, large-windowed places nestled there, and the two matching homes across from grange hall were built for two sisters by their sea captain father. lots of history. it's my favorite little area...

Mmm, I really like the first and last pics.

I used to live on W.4th street, between 6th & 7th, above all the porn shops and the ice cream parlour...Am in London now. I miss it alot.
