Back in 1835, anti-immigrant rioters tried to burn down St. Patrick's Cathedral in NoLIta- they were stopped by brave group of parishoners who stood strong in front of the building. The courtyard and graveyard of the church have a spooky feel- like there are a lot of ghosts milling around. I get the same feeling in that little park over on Spring and Mulberry- maybe it is something about the tall trees and shadows on the walls. Full versions of the entire NoLIta series, including shots that I didn't post in blog form, are available in the gallery section.
