January 3, 2004: Knicks

Once again, my blogging connections have paid off! Mike and Rion scored a few tickets to the Knicks game tonight, and they were nice enough to ask me to join them. The seats were great- and so were the salty snacks. I brought the Canon Digital Rebel, but realized once I got there that I hadn't brought a zoom lens. Long story short, most of the pictures were a little blurry- so forgive the sharpening on the ones above.

nice shots, i see a future in sports photography for you, jake...
nice pics Jake! I had a great time...Let's do it again soon...
also forgot to mention that...in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th photos....sitting next to the cameraman (on the floor w/ red shirt) is none other than Knicks fan/actor Tim Robbins!
My girlfriend has had the digital Rebel for just over a month now. She has been wanting a zoom lens and I was curious which one you use. She has been looking at the Tamron Zoom Wide-Angle Telephoto with AF 28-300 mm. Here's a link:

Thanks!

The best Canon zoom lens is the 28-135IS, assuming you can't afford an "L" lens. The 28-135IS is fantastic and the IS feature is really great in low light.
