NoHo

NoHo is one of those strange neighborhoods that seems to exist mainly to separate other, better known areas. Still, it has always occupied a special place in my heart. During the early 1990s, when we were still in High School, NoHo was one of the first areas of the city that we explored. Strategically placed between school and the Broadway-Lafayette train station, we seemed to often be hanging out on NoHo's well-named streets: Bond, Great Jones, Bleecker. We even found a bar that served 16 year olds... The Bond Street Cafe. So I know the area well- and for the next few days I'm going to try to show you some of what I've found there. I like the second photograph which is all browns and yellows except for the bluer than blue dumpster.

photos 6 & 7 are the buildings on 4th street between lafayette and bowery, right? talk about a tale of two buildings - both built around the same time, one with landmark status and funding and the other with... ?

yes.

and the last photo is the parking lot next door.
