January 9, 2004: The Mangled Puppies Newsletter
In 1991, when I was 14 and a freshman at Stuyvesant High School, my friends and I created a "zine". The Mangled Puppies Newsletter published a total of 11 issues, all of which were recently discovered at the bottom of a closet in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I had them scanned, and turned them into a website: www.mangledpuppies.com. Even though the content of the zine is almost unreadably immature, I'm still happy to have recovered copies of each issue. I think they present an accurate record of who I was back then.
