Sam and I tried to go bowling last night, but a private party at Bowlmor cast us out into the street. We ended up at the age-old fall back, Fat Cat Billiards on Christopher Street. Years ago, the place used to filled with trannie prostitutes and hustlers every night, but recently it has been quieter. Sam is a great pool player, but I still beat him two or three times. I keep telling him, the shot is important, but even more important is the Jedi mind games. You've got to be the ball, etc. Other pool halls I recommend: Q Lounge on 19th Street [Chelsea scene], Pressure [Wall Street banker types, overpriced], Park Slope Billiards [Flatbush Avenue hustlers], and Soho Billiards [mostly Asian hoods] on Houston.

that 3rd picture is great.

it's a shame that le q is now called "q lounge."

gee, so that's who that hot guy is...

and yes, that third shot is awesome

it's a common misconception that q lounge used to be le q. but le q was on 12th street- whereas q lounge is on 19th and used to be Chelsea Billiards. le q was the scene of an infamous shooting when i was i 15- a kid from stuyvesant was killed when three asian gangsters came in and sprayed the place with bullets. after that, we continued going there for four or five years, because it was one of the only places that would let underage kids play afterhours.

hmm, not the same? i sit corrected. yes, i remember the shooting. lots of pub for it. i think there was a chair in the new stuy to commemorate the kid that was shot.

i never played there though, since i had little experience with the old school.

Can I ask what time you guys were playing at? I truly suck at pool and it would be nice to know when I could give it a go when there wouldn't be people laughing and pointing.

we were there around 9pm to 11pm, I think.

i truly suck at pool too, though that isn't to say i'm not more than willing to play. i'm lucky that sam is nice enough to give me some pointers, though, so i don't look quite so pathetic when playing him.

Actually that fourth picture is a decent candidate for the mirror project if you look closely...

sam looks subsonic!!!!!!!!!!! Eoooowwww!

Kinda like a modern day Plucked out "Risky Buisness".

Either that or a beer comercial on acid.
