Bluejake

Benches are so underrated. First of all, they are great for sitting. When you want to have a good sit, there aren't that many pieces of furniture that will do the job much better than a bench. Benches are also good for lying down, eating lunch, picking up chicks, and in Washington Square Park, consumating various illegal transactions. Of course, there was none of that this week, because all of the benches were completely buried in snow. I like benches all year round, but under six inches of white, they take on an unnatural purity of form. I guess that's just one more great thing about benches!
