The Brooklyn Heights Promenade has always held a bit of magic for me. I remember watching the Brooklyn Bridge celebration there one year in the early 1980s- they set up fireworks to make it seem like a wave of water was flowing over the bridge. Later on, the north end of the path was sort of a make-out spot, and the little parking lot off Remsen was a must-see site on prom night. These days I just visit to watch the sun set.

Holy Kings County, Batman! That was you on the Promenade. I was down on the south end with my daughter, trying to make the trucks honk their horns (a favorite pastime of ours) and I turned around and you looked me straight in the face and I thought "Hey, it's the Gothamist guy!" Sorry I missed the chance to tell you how much I love your work. Usual great job with the promenade pics!

Fantastic skyline & sunset.

i am amazed that i was recognized- i don't think i was wearing any gothamist gear, so the identification must have been based on my face alone. well done!
