Gothamist Happy Hour 3

On Thursday night, we threw a surprise Gothamist Happy Hour at the Magician on Rivington. Advertising money paid for $500 worth of drink tickets- the tickets ran out at about 9:45pm, but the party continued for a few more hours after that. Lots of fun- especially after the last few months of blogwars, blogbeef, and blogbullshit. At the party I got to thinking: Gothamist is a great website, written and read by a lot of interesting New Yorkers. Everything else is just misperception spread by idiots. What really counts is the friendships and the things we've learned about New York. [Related: more pictures from Thursday night.]

I have to second Jake's thoughts: The best thing about working on Gothamist, what keeps us going, is the fact that we get to meet interesting people who turn into friends and we get to learn about new things everyday. That's all that matters to me, that what's real. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!
