"Winter is here / And it's going on two years / Swallow my pride. / And things were looking very grim / But they're looking good again / Swallow my pride. / Loose lips sink ships, they say / But isn't it always that way? / Swallow my pride, oh yeah. / Gonna have a real cool time / And everything's gonna be real fine / Swallow my pride, oh yeah." - The Ramones

hey Jake! I think you should check out this elementary school on 106th street, between Madison and Park, but closer to Park. It has a large school yard covered in very intentional, semi-arty looking graffiti, and on the outside of the school yard (on Park) there is a wall devoted to celebrating the anniversary of graffiti in NYC. Also, the Queensbridge station on the F line has crazy green tiles everywhere (70s style). That would be a cool place to photograph if you can stand the overwhelming smell of urine.

that would be central park east secondary school, i believe aka the jackie robinson complex. the murals there are interesting.
