Bluejake

I met up with Mike in Flushing for some breakfast at this great Chinese restaurant, and then we walked down towards Shea Stadium to shoot the Iron Triangle. It's a district of auto-repair shops and scrapyards, with the occasional dirty spoon diner thrown in for color. Walking up the first block of Willets Point Boulevard is like crossing into the third world- imagine the first town over the border from El Paso. It's a hard place to shoot- too many cars, crowded as all hell, but beautiful in its own way. Special thanks to K. Thor for suggesting the shoot location. [Related: Mike's Iron Triangle 1]
