Grand Street extends into Queens, but for now that part lies beyond the borders of my project. Instead, I biked a few more blocks, over another quaint little cantilevered bridge, and then up towards Calvary Cemetery. That way involves passing through a large industrial district, filled with bottling plants on one side and views of the Newtown Creek on the other. After Calvary, I decided to make my way back into Brooklyn, opting for the Pulaski Bridge over the Greenpoint, because I think it's a more beautiful ride. [A special Bluejake preview of the forthcoming Photobloggers 2 event on September 30th- we're just putting the finishing touches on the invite now.]

Have you had a chance to go down to Grand Ferry Park (at the end of Grand St. on the Williamsburg side)? It is really peaceful, there are fun rocks to sit or jump around on, it's right on the water, and you can take some great night shots. Here is one if you're interested.

You've beautifully captured the stark bleakness of the place. I enjoy seeing your photographs all the way from London. Planethalder.
