DUMBO 2

Back in 1999, when I was working at Stuyvesant, I still didn't have my license. Growing up in the city, I had never needed one, but I didn't have much else going on and I felt like giving it a shot. After a few months, I mastered the automatic transmission, but I still didn't understand stick. A friend of mine from college took me down under the bridge in DUMBO and tried to teach me, but even after two hours, I still didn't really understand the clutch. Anyway, I always think of her when I'm skating around down there. [Unrelated: Mike and I have been working on some galleries for NYMetro.com- the first one is up today.]
