Bluejake

This weekend was Open House New York. There were a lot of interesting open houses around the city, but the only ones that I managed to get out to were the two Marble Cemeteries in the East Village. I'd long been interested in the sites, because of their hidden quality and wonderful air of decay. Of the two, I prefer the New York Marble Cemetery (off 2nd Avenue, as opposed to the New York City Marble Cemetery, off 2nd Street), because it feels more cut off from city life.
