Chengwin Homecoming

Today was the much anticipated Chenwgin Homecoming 2004, in which Chengwin faced off against his old adversary, Chunk, for control of Chove. Obviously, Chengwin is the half-chicken/half-penguin, and Chunk is the half-chicken/half-skunk. Most of the people in the crowd seemed to be rooting for Chengwin, which seemed unfair to me. After about 15 minutes of mini-riot/art-theatre, the police broke it up, and I followed as Chengwin and his minions retreated down Crosby Street. Damn, how did you get so close?

What neighborhood did this Homecoming happen in?

i got close the same way i always do- pushing my way to the front while repeatedly saying "excuse me", "pardon me", "sorry!", "press, coming through", etc. of course, a man of mike's size could probably just toss the puny hipsters out of the way.

jeannie: it was on lafayette and spring in nolita/soho.

We cheer for Chengwin 'cause good will always triumph over evil. Duh.
