January 5, 2005: Israel 5

I know these abstractions posts aren't as popular, but I like them. I think my brain is setup to respond to bright colors and patterns. [Unrelated: there are only 5 days left to nominate sites for the 2005 Bloggies! Of course, I'd love for you to nominate Bluejake in the "Best Photography of a Weblog" category, but I'd be satisfied if any of the NYC Photoblogs get the nod. Also, if you read Gothamist, why not nominate us in the "Best American Weblog" and "Best Group Weblog" categories? You rock!]

I love the top two (and the other two are certainly nice too...). Was yellow->red the full spectrum for that building or did it extend to other colors. The Colonel is striking an amusing pose.
what a nice sunset. or is that a sunrise?
the clouds in that sunset/rise are crazy. is that camera shake, long exposure or just how what they looked like?
Dude, I dig your abstractions posts as with this set, I like a lot. Composition of the third shot, reminds me of the aerials by Vincent Laforet.
I put gothamist down for best group blog in my nominations to Bloggies Good luck with that.
I like the abstract shots better than the more traditional realistic/documentary ones but that's because the world is full of horrors. OR IS IT? HMMMM.
it was a sunset, and that's pretty much how it looked- i did the normal auto curves / contrast / saturation to clean it up a little.
This photo is wonderful. One of my favorites on your site.
love the colors. I like these abstraction posts.
I love these shots.
And you got my nomination and my vote :)
I think it's very much ur style, Jake. Keep up the good work.
