January 23, 2005: Chile 7

There isn't much architecture in Santiago that's worth mentioning. The seem to have replaced most of the colonial buildings in the central district of the city with vaugely Londonish buildings- lots of marble eight story stuff. Around the edges you can find a few buildings that stand out- such as the Central Market in yellow, above, and the interior staircase at their stock exchange. [Unrelated: I'm selling my 32" Sony WEGA TV and X-box with 8 games, hi-def connection and 2 controllers. If you are interested, send me an email.]

Wow, jake, these shots are outstanding. Yellow VW bus is perfect in number one, for example.
Ahhh..Summer in January. Love the building in #1.
