January 26, 2005: Snow in Central Park

This "blizzard" turned out to be a pretty huge letdown. There was lots of talk that it would rival the 1996 or 2003 storms- but that turned out to be all lies- there couldn't have been more than a foot of snow in the city. By the time I arrived in Central Park, around 11am on Sunday, thousands of people seemed to have already treked through. [Unrelated: this morning, I found a sock in my box of Cheerios. This was not entirely surprising to me, as the night before, I had misplaced a sock and had asked Karen if she had noticed it lying around. How it got into the Cheerios box, though- that is a mystery.]

I hope it was a CLEAN sock!
Actually, I'd still toss out the rest of the box.
nope- the sock had already been worn! but no way i'm throwing out a box of cheerios- that's like $3.49, baby!
whenever i hear something like this about you i think "only jake... ! "
#4 looks like a desertscape, great shot. was that at 3200?
hmm.. sounds like the work of a certain domestic animal :)
my cat used to think it was fun to run off with my socks & put them in the kitchen trash. not sure what that meant...
I've managed to save up roughly $48123 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?
