February 28, 2005: The Gates 7 (Finale)

Sometime between when I took these shots, edited them, and put them up, they turned to crap. I blame the computer. But what the hell- I'm done with The Gates, and even as we speak, they are being chopped up into little, tiny pieces. I enjoyed the five visits I made up to the park these last two weeks, but I'm not sorry to see the exhibit close- it was just becoming a little much.

It still looks like winter, and more snow may be coming, but the broken ice on the lake and that hint of blue sky seems to hint at the arrival of a change coming up. Very nice photos.
Not following the teachings of the Coffee & Workprints article you posted yesterday?
Hence the genius of only having it up for 16 days. Just enough to make it an event, any more and it becomes a theme park.
They were there, we were part of it, and now it's gone. A moment in time.
Oh, BTW, great shots... was at the spot where #3 was taken on Saturday, nice.
