March 1, 2005: Faces at No Malice Palace
Hilton was in town from Boston, so some of us went over to the East Village for some drinks. Lots of old faces from college, and it gave me the idea of shooting some closeups with the 50mm and a bounce flash. The effect is pretty interesting- but even with the bounce you've got to be careful to avoid hotspots. [Unrelated: I will be speaking at SXSW next week, so if you're going to be down there let me know!]

Try getting a bit farther away next time.
everyones eye color came out well in the last three, and as for the first one...those are some nice tastebuds he's got going for him. :)
