Bluejake

I'm always suspicious of "legal" graffiti spots- it seems like illegality is an important part of the art of graf. J0sh always says that graffiti is like an Olympic sport- it's all about perfecting one or two pieces of art, and then executing them flawlessly in the fastest possible amount of time. Legal graf spots are sort of like watching the Special Olympics- it's less fun if you relax the rules. Still, the stuff you see at some of the legal spots is interesting- artists can really go all out when they aren't worried about getting picked up by the police, and some of the pieces you see are mind-blowing. My favorite legal spot in Queens: 5 Points (across the street from PS1 in LIC).
