June 22, 2005: Japan 9

At night we'd go out to dinner and drinks in East Shinjuku, Shibuyu, or Ginza- all throbbing neighborhoods with thousands of people at each streetcorner waiting to cross. At the stroke of midnight, millions seemed to rush for the last trains- a throng of pushing bodies. A few nights we found ourselves in quieter areas like Ebisu or Ueno, which had their own charms. Still- the classic Blade Runner image of Tokyo- the flashing lights and crowds in Shinjuku- that's probably what I'll remember.

I thought on NY had sardine can train cars like that. Good job capturing the scene. Did you manage to squeeze on?
