July 6, 2005: Way Uptown

Youngna and I took the 1 train up to 225th Street the other week. We walked around Marble Hill in the rain, and then crossed the Broadway Bridge into Inwood. We walked down to Inwood Park, and at my insistence, hiked up into the hill above the Hudson. After about 30 minutes, we were hopelessly loss, and things were getting fairly Blair Witch- lots of odd guys lurking in the shadows, approaching darkness. Luckily, Youngna kept her cool and led us down to safety- I'm glad I didn't have to survive by eating her.

It is a really beautiful area up there - I was there just a couple of weeks ago. Did you walk by the cloisters? But you really need to be careful in that park - a woman jogging in the woods was murdered not that long ago.
I thought Inwood Park was really safe. Maybe I'll rethink trekking there alone. I like the framing and colors of the last photo. What does the "C" stand for?
"C" is for Columbia!
And parts of Inwood Park are safe, mainly parts where you see lots of people, and during the daytime.
yeah im pretty glad you didnt have to eat me either. that wouldn't be the best way to go.
