August 20, 2005: Drive By Shooting

I've said it before: LA is a tough city to photograph- it's spread out to god-knows-where, and many of the neighborhoods aren't walkable- there simply aren't sidewalks to walk around on. I've done okay most of the time by careful planning- picking out a few spots- driving to one, then parking, then driving, then parking- frankly, it's a bit of a hassle. Once in awhile, however, I'll actually be in the car, and see something I just know I have to catch. At times like that I try to grab for the camera without taking my eyes off the road- so far, no major accidents to report. These three were all shot while the vehicle was actually in motion- which I think lends them a certain reckless flair.

You can see in my blogue some fotos ("Remember Mew York").
That's quite a billboard, thought it was a silhouette of a real woman at first, had to adjust my laptop for glare...
I link your blogue with your first photo.
