September 19, 2005: Dogs of the Seven Seas
Despite a friendly reminder from Lia and NYCPB, I forgot that the "19th Annual Dog Parade: Ahoy Mateys! Dogs of the Seven Seas" benefit was going on in Williamsburg today. I was biking down Driggs totally oblivious, when I noticed a crowd of about a hundred dogs and owners gathering in the park. I stopped by, and snapped a few shots with the only camera I had available- a G5 with no flash. These shots still convey much of the zany insanity. Just don't tell Thompson I was there.

The funny thing is that I ended up missing the parade because it was too hot for my dog, but that's my pirate hat my friend Ranjit is wearing in the second photo!
