Bluejake

Last night I got to check out "Agora", Noémie Lafrance's beautiful performance piece in the old McCarren Pool. There were hundreds of guests gathered around the pool to watch the piece-- the best vantage seemed to be from the side opposite the entrance. I bought a "floater" ticket so I could walk around with the camera- they hassled me a bit until I got a press-pass using my Gothamist credentials. I loved watching the dancers from the darkness at the north side of the pool-- the lighting and sound effects made everything extra-spooky and haunting.
