October 15, 2005: Walk the Tunnel

Today was an unusual morning: I woke up at 7am on a Saturday, took the train up to Times Square, met up with JCN, and then walked across the Lincoln Tunnel to Jersey with the Campaign to End AIDS. Along the way, we met up with Zach and a few of his pals, and then took the ferry back from Weehawken (I think-- it's a wilderness out there!) with them. It was a nice protest-- several hundred people, some nice protest chants echoing in the tunnel, and a lot of excitement. I was happy to get to see the inside of the tunnel-- it turned out to be pretty much what you'd expect, but it was still interesting to walk the whole thing.
