thanks for your letter- i really appreciated it. i hope you will see this response. in answer to your questions:

1. i took all the pictures that appear on the front page of streetsy-- the pictures that appear in the pool pages were taken by other people.

2. new york is fairly expensive, but no more so than other large cities like los angeles or london. cheap apartments can be found in neighborhoods in queens and brooklyn, and while that makes getting around a little more difficult, the money you save on rent can be used for other things.

3. traffic in new york is terrible, but most people walk, so it's no big deal.

4. cops do mess with street artists, and the consquences of getting arrested are usually a few days in jail and a substantial fine. best to be careful until you learn what areas are heavily patrolled.

5. i've lived in new york all of my life, except for the times i've been travelling, and even then for no more than 12 weeks away at a time. currently i live down in soho-- if you do make it to new york, drop me a line and i'll show you some street art spots.
