May 25, 2006: Best Deal on the Bowery / Classic Lighting
For years, I avoided taking pictures on big streets like the Bowery or Canal. I thought there were too many cars, and too much pedestrian traffic to get anything good. Recently, I've changed my mind. With careful planning, you can shoot when there aren't any cars around, and the buildings along big streets are often more decrepit than their neighbors on the side streets.
