August 1, 2006: Brooklyn Cheesecake
This colorful shot was taken on Havemeyer in Williamsburg, sometime last month. As I was trying to explain to Youngna a few weeks back, I've got a Platonic ideal of the perfect building shot in my head, and I'm trying to match it in my work. The ideal urban landscape shot would combine a technically perfect exposure, a beautiful, hauntingly run-down architecture, and some serious punctum in the foreground-- something that grabs your eye. This one doesn't come close, but it's moving in the right direction.
